National Development and Reform Commission: Annual steel and coal capacity reduction task completed ahead of schedule
The reporter learned from the 2016 CCTV Finance Forum and Listed Companies Summit held recently that Deputy Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission Xu Kunlin said at the meeting that according to data reported by local and relevant central enterprises, steel production capacity will be 45 million tons and coal production capacity will be 250 million tons The target tasks have been completed ahead of schedule and exceeded the quota. At present, member units of the inter-ministerial joint conference are organizing strength acceptance checks.
In terms of iron and steel, Baosteel and Wuhan Iron & Steel jointly reorganized and established China Baowu Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. In terms of coal, more than 2,600 small coal mines of 300,000 tons / year and below have been included in the capacity reduction scope; the coal business sector of central enterprises has been further optimized. According to statistics from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, from January to October this year, 73 member companies achieved a cumulative profit of 28.7 billion yuan, compared with a loss of 38.5 billion yuan in the same period last year. In the first 10 months, coal enterprises above designated size (that is, annual output value above 20 million yuan) realized profits of 57.37 billion yuan, an increase of 112.8% year-on-year.
